Dr Muriel Brasseur (BSc Hons, PhD) is a zoologist & experienced animal behaviourist (…)

Hot on the heels of Grisha Stewart's successful UK BAT seminar and talks in 2011 and following huge demand, we are delighted to welcome her back for a bigger seminar and workshop in June 2012!
Grisha Stewart MA, CPDT-KA, CTP is the creator of Behaviour Adjustment Training (BAT), a low stress, non-aversive technique, for working with problem canine behaviours such as aggression, fear and frustration. BAT has been spreading fast around the world with more and more people wanting to learn how to use it. Renowned US animal behaviourist and dog trainer Patricia McConnell upon reviewing Grisha's book said that ''Every trainer should have the methods described in BAT in their tool box. There'd be a lot more happy dogs and happy owners if they did!''.

Grisha is the owner and founder of Ahimsa Dog Training in Seattle (US) and was voted Seattle's Top Dog Trainer by the readers of CityDog Magazine. Grisha is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, and an active member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and a Certified Training Partner from the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behaviour.
The weekend will consist of two days of talks, discussion and presentations. The seminar will be very hands-on with a number of practical demonstrations. Delegates will participate in group breakout sessions and will be asked to devise training plans for different case studies. This year will include a puppy socialisation demonstration as well. There will be Q&A sessions with Grisha throughout.
The seminar will provide participants with the theory and practical skills needed to use BAT, with their own dogs or in a professional setting.
Please note that children will not be allowed at the seminar, and the only dogs allowed will be those pre-arranged to take part in the demonstrations. If you cannot leave your dog at home, please contact OABC and we'll see what we can arrange.
An accommodation list will be emailed upon booking. The Stoneleigh Park Lodge offers a discount to guests attending events at the Kennel Club Building and also accommodates dogs. Discounted rate is £70 per room for single occupancy, £80 per room for double occupancy for a double or twin room, and a surcharge of £5 per dog.
