Sue Cook is a familiar face to many in the UK as the face of Crimewatch UK which she presented, with Nick Ross, between 1984 and 1996, as well as co-hosting the BBC’s annual Children in Need appeal night with Terry Wogan for 13 years from 1982. She has also hosted and presented many other popular shows over the years such as Nationwide, Out of Court, Daytime Live, Holiday, Having a Baby, Omnibus at The Proms, Chelsea Flower Show and Collectors Lot as well as many radio programmes.
Sue is now a successful novelist and has written two novels, On Dangerous Ground and Force of Nature. She is currently adapting on Dangerous Ground for film, writing her third novel, as well as working on two screenplays. She is the Executive Producer for the movie Tracker starring Ray Winstone and Temuera Morrison and directed by her husband Ian Sharp.
Sue is a lifelong animal lover and has owned several pets. In this first relaunch of the ANIMANIA Petcast, she talks to Muriel about her late Westie Maisie, her beloved cat Patches, Speedy the tortoise, and other cats she has known and loved.
