Muriel helped us to regain our sanity when our little Westie became aggressive on lead, after she was attacked by another dog. We cannot thank her enough! Jo and Mike Slater (Charlbury, Oxfordshire)

Dr Muriel Brasseur BSc (Hons) PhD CBATI

Originally a veterinary nurse, Muriel has been involved with companion animals a very long time, and as a zoologist has studied the behaviour of a variety of species from wolves, cats, primates, to dolphins and whales. She has a PhD in behaviour and genetics, and a thorough understanding of the differences in behaviour and communication between species. Specifically those between humans and their companion animals, which can result in behaviour issues in pets and frustration in their owners.

Since its inception several years ago, the Oxfordshire Animal Behaviour Centre has gone from strength to strength and is now a very busy practice. Now helped by a team of volunteers, Muriel is currently fundraising to set up an associated non-profit organisation and a local canine rehabilitation centre, where behaviour problems can be safely addressed in a comfortable and supportive environment and in all weathers!

Muriel is a Certified Behaviour Adjustment Training Instructor (CBATI), Full Member of the International Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), a Member of the Kennel Club Accredited Instructor Scheme (KCAI) working towards accreditation, as well as working towards further animal behaviour accreditations. She offers one-to-one puppy and dog training, and sees behaviour clients by veterinary referrals throughout Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.
