Rescue
Foster homes for dogs needed in Oxfordshire

Occasionally, as a result of behaviour consultations, some clients are advised that the environment they live in is not suitable for their dog(s) and is a major contributing factor to the behavioural issues that have arisen in their pet(s). This advice is given when all possible avenues have been explored and the behaviourist feels that, due to the personal circumstances and environment of the owner(s), a behaviour modification programme cannot be implemented or is highly likely to result in failure. Because of this, some owners decide to surrender their dog(s) to the OABC for rehoming.

Therefore, we sometimes need foster homes to care for the dogs for several weeks while their behaviour is being further assessed and new homes are being sought.

The OABC is particularly keen to find foster carers who live in a rural or semi-rural setting although everyone will be considered for suitabilty.

If you are interested in becoming a foster carer please call the OABC on 07809 562 526
