Muriel established the OABC in West Oxfordshire in 2007 after several years in Australia where she ran a successful behaviour practice while providing free advice and support to rescue groups, animal shelters, and foster carers. Originally a veterinary nurse, Muriel has been around dogs and cats for a very long time and as a zoologist has studied the behaviour of many species from wolves, primates, to dolphins and whales. This has given her the insight to understand the differences in behaviour and communication between species, specifically those between humans and their companion animals. Differences which can result in behavioural issues in pets and frustration in their owners.
